Dorothy H. Goodrum Scholarships

Scholarship awards are made possible by using unclaimed capital credit funds returned by the State of Texas each year.  Using these funds, HCEC has supported higher education for the children of cooperative members.  The number of scholarships and the amount awarded could vary annually based on the unclaimed capital credit payments for that year.

Texas Rural Electric Women's Association (TREWA)

In addition to providing the Dorothy H. Goodrum Scholarship, HCEC serves as a channel for students to apply for scholarships through the Texas Rural Electric Women’s Association (TREWA).

Eligible individuals include TREWA members and their children.
